VOLUNTEER

One of VANC’s greatest assets is our volunteers, who keep the wheels turning and help us fulfill our mission. Volunteers are a vital part of making VANC an active and responsive resource center for our Veterans. Volunteers help sustain VANC and ensure that Veterans in need receive the assistance they deserve. This is no small task. The VANC Resource Center brings together many of the critical services that Veterans and active duty military and their families need.

Come and join our family of volunteers at the Veterans Association of North County (VANC). Our volunteer duties consist of front desk operations, handyman/maintenance, events set-up & take down & light cleaning. No professional experience is necessary but military experience or association is helpful. Front Desk volunteers help provide resource assistance to active duty, veterans and their families. Some computer experience is helpful. Maintenance can include patrolling the area for trash pick-up, wiping down tables/chairs or light duties. Events need set up and take down (moving tables & chairs, etc.) arranged according to instruction from the Event Coordinator. We ask our volunteers to work a few hours a week. Shifts are normally from 9-1 or 1-5 Monday-Friday. Please call 760-722-1277 or email eileen@vanc.me for further information and shift availability.
